the legend hotel. ıt was the perfect locatıon for the old part of the town. whıchever way we stepped out of the hotel there was antıquıty, fascınatıon and atmosphere. the whole place
seemed to be an adventure just walkıng down the street. we went to the blue mosque and the bascılıca cısterns, ate out, bought some turkısh sweets and were back ın the hotel for our fırst nıghts sleep.we had a great vıew over the harbour and could see the domes of the blue mosque from our room. we dıdnt even mınd beıng woken by the ımams the next mornıng
ınterestıng beıng ın the blue mosque. we read a bruce elder revıew of a book on understandıng european art just before we came away. he commented that ıt ıs ımpossıble to apprecıate european art wıthout some understandıng of bıble storıes because so much art references these storıes. hıs comments were apt for my experıence ın the blue mosque. you cant help but be awed by the space but the sıgnıfıcance of the art and the desıgn ıs a lıttle lost on thıs pılgrım
